BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND PRINCIPALS

Mark Hodge

Director

Starting out as an RAF Apprentice in the mid-1980s, Mark is an aeronautical engineer with over 35 years’ experience of defence and civil aviation. Before joining Musketeer in 2018 as our Business Development lead and aerospace consultant, he was the Type Airworthiness Authority for the RAF’s Sentry and Sentinel aircraft.

A specialist in regulatory compliance, process improvement and availability optimisation; Mark is the Musketeer lead for AURORA and MAA engagement. Mark has worked successfully in these areas with MOD Staff and Defence contractors and has developed R&D initiatives with the Defence Equipment and Support Airworthiness Team. A graduate of Cranfield University and Kings College London, Mark is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Donna Wilkins

Director

Donna has been associated with Musketeer Solutions since 2010; firstly, as an associate providing consultancy support, and then in 2018 she joined the company as our Business Manager, a role she carried out for 3 years.

Donna started her career in logistics serving in the RAF for 20 years which included roles in Defence Equipment and Support project teams and Air Movements. Her RAF career was followed by 12 years in management consultancy focusing on business management and improvement. Donna provides Musketeer with a broad range of knowledge and experience covering all aspects of our growing business support area.

Scott Wray

Director

Scott is an aeronautical engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the Royal Air Force. Before joining Musketeer, he was Chief Air Engineer at No 1 Gp responsible for overseeing continuing airworthiness on the fast-jet and ISTAR fleets and principal advisor to the Operational Duty Holder on all technical air safety matters.

Previously, he was the C-130J Type Airworthiness Authority where he delivered a number of major modifications and upgrades. He has been a senior leader in the Defence Equipment & Support Airworthiness Team where he helped develop safety and hazard management policy and processes. His broader experience includes a range of fast-jet and transport aircraft and in a number of Engineering Authority roles. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Adrian Parrish

Non-Executive Director

Adrian is a versatile and experienced technical leader who has built on his 29-year career as an RAF engineering officer where he held delegated air safety responsibility for a range of avionic and radar equipment for more than 14 years.

Adrian co-founded Musketeer Solutions Ltd in 2005 and was the Joint Managing Director until 2022. He specialises in the technical and commercial aspects of the company. Adrian holds a BSc from Exeter University, and Masters degrees from Kings College, the Open University and Loughborough University, he is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Anne Parrish

Non-Executive Director

After gaining a degree in geography at Exeter University, Anne worked in education, banking and logistics within a variety of blue-chip companies. Her detail-orientated approach to work enabled her to develop and improve administration systems in a wide variety of backgrounds.

This work led to an understanding of the importance of valuing others and of teamwork within the workplace. Founding Musketeer has enabled Anne to develop her interest and skills in business leadership, aided by completion of MBA studies with The Open University. Firmly focussed on sustaining Musketeer’s reputation for excellence, Anne’s main interests now lie in the financial and ethical performance of the company. Anne believes strongly in Musketeer’s corporate social responsibility and strives to achieve decency and fairness within the workplace.

Richard James

Chief Engineer

Richard joined Musketeer in 2012 having previously served in the RAF for 29 years where his latter posts included Director Training at RAF Cosford and a Delivery Team Leader.

Richard is our Chief Engineer and is a highly-experienced engineering manager with a strong background in airworthiness and safety management. He has led programmes for Musketeer on a range of aircraft including Sentry, Sentinel, Puma and gliders, where his ability to analyse complex information in a rigorous manner has enabled many innovative solutions to difficult engineering problems. Richard holds an MA from Downing College, Cambridge and an MA from Kings College, he is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Engineering Society.

Steve Welburn

Principal Consultant

After 30 years in the RAF, concluding with the role of Integrated Project Team Leader & Type Airworthiness Authority for C130, Steve joined Marshall Aerospace in 2006 to manage their International C130 Business Unit.

From 2012 to 2015, Steve was the UK Country Manager for Aernnova S.A, the Tier 1 Spanish Aerostructures Company. Steve’s role in Musketeer since 2015, as our Principal Consultant, has been to lead major engineering projects and develop business opportunities. Steve is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and has Masters degrees in Aircraft Design and Defence Studies.
